Which airlines let your pet fly in the cabin?
Cabin travel comes down to two numbers: how much your pet weighs with its carrier, and whether that carrier fits under the seat. This table compares both across every carrier we track.
The short answer
16 of the 20 airlines we track accept dogs or cats in the cabin. Most cap the pet plus its carrier at around 10 kg and expect a soft carrier of roughly 45 × 30 × 25 cm. Long-haul is the usual exception — some carriers allow cabin pets on shorter routes only.

No airline in our data takes a pet that heavy in the cabin. At that weight your pet travels in the hold or as manifest cargo.
How to measure before you book
Weigh your pet inside the carrier, not on its own — the published limit is almost always the combined figure. Then measure the carrier at its widest points, including wheels and handles. A carrier that fits the stated dimensions on paper can still be refused if it will not compress under the seat in front of you.
When the cabin is not an option
Above the cabin limit your pet travels in the temperature-controlled hold or as manifest cargo, in a rigid IATA-compliant crate. That is a different booking, a different price, and often a different set of breed rules.
